Dated 1906, 1909 & 1914 for repurposing. This 38 S&W is an outstanding collectors piece. It’s had use and it shows. But still in phenomenal condition, solid bore, functions smooth as it should. Trigger is light, smooth cylinder for easy reloading.
I’m not a Milsurp or pre War collector anymore.
It is a "pre-Victory" lend lease S&W military and police (model 1905 hand ejector, 4th change) in .38/200 also known as the BSR or British Service Revolver. Same configuration as the "V-series" pistols which formally started after SN 999999 in this range.
Refinished by the Australians in their service in 1954 and later surplussed for import back to the U.S.
